About Bikaner Tourism

Bikaner is a city in Rajasthan, India's northwestern state, located east of Pakistan's border. The Thar Desert surrounds the city. Junagarh Fort, a massive complex of beautiful structures and rooms built in the 16th century, is the city's most famous attraction. Traditional fabrics and royal portraits are on display in the Prachina Museum within the fort.

Junagarh Fort

Junagarh Fort was built in the year 1593 by Raja Rai Singh. The fort structure consists of temples and palaces.The Karan Mahal, Anup Mahal, Chandra Mahal and Phool Mahal are some major attractions here. It is assumed that crocodiles were raised in the water canal surrounding the impressive fort. The architecture is a fine mixture of Mughal, Gujarati and Rajput style and this place is considered particularly one among the best places to visit in Bikaner

Rampuria Haveli

The rich merchants of Bikaner build Rampuriahavelis over a period of a few hundred years.This magnificent palace was constructed by Maharaja Ganga Singh in the new 20th century. The palace has now been transformed into a hotel.A museum situated within the Ganga Niwas is also incorporated into the palace. The miniature paintings that are related to the Bikaner School of Art can be seen here. There is also a library with a wide collection of Sanskrit manuscripts written on silver, copper, and gold plaques and parchments. Objects from the culture of Harappan and the era of Kushan and Gupta.
