Jodhpur is a city in Rajasthan, India, located in the Thar Desert. Its Mehrangarh Fort, built in the 15th century, is now a museum with weapons, paintings, and ornate royal palanquins on exhibit (sedan chairs). The fort, which is perched on a rocky outcrop, looks out over the walled city, where many of the buildings are painted in the city's signature blue.

It is the second-largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan .
