Vellore Fort

The Vellore Fort which is said to have been built during Channa Bommi Nayaka and Thimma Reddy Nayaka in the 15th century and happens to be one of the best examples of military architecture in South India. It is spread over an area of more than 500 meters, situated at an altitude of 220m. Located right in the centre of the city, it has a giant moat at its entrance, where 10,000 crocodiles used to swim earlier.

Palamathi Hills

Palamathi Hills also known as Balamathi Hills is an area belonging to the Eastern Ghats.Palamathi Hills is the perfect place for nature lovers to explore, with exquisite indigenous species of animals and birds, including lush greenery. At this place, one can enjoy various exciting recreational activities, such as adventurous treks, relaxing walks, photography, delightful picnics, scenic boat trips, bird watching, and admiring the most stunning sunsets.

Sripuram Golden Temple

The main feature of the temple has to be that it is covered in real gold foil and it is regarded as the biggest and the only temple to do that. The inauguration took place on 24th August 2007, and it was inaugurated by Narayani Amma. The chief deity of the temple is Sri Lakshmi Narayani or Maha Lakshmi, who is the Goddess of wealth in Hinduism. Sashasra Deepam or one thousand eight lamps is a ceremony that is performed in the temple every morning and in the evening.

Enjoy at Kaigal Falls

It is located in the district of Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, the Kaigal fall is nestled amidst the Koundinya Wildlife sanctuary. The Kaigal waterfall derives its name from the village Kaigal, that surrounds it.

Visit Archaeological Survey of India Museum

It is located near the Vellore Fort.It is the premier institution in India concentrating on archaeological researches, explorations, excavations and protection and preservation of monuments and sites of national importance. This museum exhibits different kinds of ancient stones, statues, stone carvings, coins and exhibits, as old as 1000 years, that enlighten us about history. None of the sculptures from the 8th century are said to survive. It takes at least 2 hours to walk around the museum and witness the rich past.

Boating in Punganoor Lake

The Punganur Lake is the artifical lake and famous lake of Vellore.The man made lake covers nearly 60 sq. meters of land.You can have the liesure of boating in this serene lake. The one more attraction is the fountain.
