It is the second-largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan . Jodhpur is famous for its blue buildings, which were originally painted to signify that they were occupied by Brahmins, the highest caste in India.The tourist attraction is the Mehrangarh Fort , it is a former palace that’s now a museum, displaying weapons, paintings and elaborate royal palanquins (sedan chairs). Ghanta Ghar, also known as the clock tower is an important and most popular landmark in the Blue City of India. Jal Mahal or the Water Palace is located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake, this palace is also a fusion of Mughal and Rajput styles of architecture. Built in red sandstone, Jal Mahal is a five-storey building, of which four storeys remain underwater when the lake is filled

Saheliyon Ki Bari or the Garden of the Maidens was built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the early years of the 18th century.It catered to the maids who would go with the Princess of Udaipur to her husband’s hearth (part of the dowry given by the Maharana). This place had pretty women dancing, singing and making merry and the beautiful marble elephants, fountains, a lotus pool and kiosks bear ample testimony to the richness of the time.

The City Palace of Alwar is actually a fort that is located right below the Alwar Fort in the foothills of the Aravalli ranges and was built in the 18th century.The houses are governed by the government offices today. The Palace houses an artificial lake inside its premises as well as a museum that is one of the best in the state. A visit to the City palace will allow you to experience the best of Alwar in a complete manner.

The BalaQuila Fort is a historic destination to visit.Extending over an area of 5 kilometres, the fort stands stern and forbidding at a height of 1000 feet with 15 large and 51 small towers and 446 openings for musketry.

Surrounded by over fifty bathing ghats, this lake is situated in Rajasthan's Ajmer district.It is a sacred water body for Hindus and thousands of pilgrims visit here to take a holy dip during the fair which is said to cleanse sins

the Aloo Baba Temple is named after a guru who used to meditate in the area.The baba was know for the simple living .The 70-year old man is known to eat just potatoes and nothing else, thereby giving the temple this name.According to his saying, potatoes can be cooked easily, and are also readily available. At times, one can even see him sitting on the 18-year old temple steps.

Pushkar is also famous as the Rose Garden of Rajasthan. In this rose garden , varieties of roses can be seen. The enchanting beauty mesmerises the atmosphere .

The majestic tomb of Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti is one of India’s most prominent pilgrimage center and one of the famous places to visit in Ajmer which is visited by devotees of all faiths. He was a Sufi saint who came from Persia and devoted his life to help the poor and oppressed.

According to legend, construction in 1153 took only two-and-a-half days. Others say it was named after a festival lasting two-and-a-half days. It was originally built as a Sanskrit college, but in 1198 Mohammed of Ghori seized Ajmer and converted the building into a mosque by adding a seven-arched wall covered with Islamic calligraphy in front of the pillared hall.

The Prithviraj Smarak is a memorial to Prithviraj Chauhan, the great hero of the Rajput Chauhan dynasty. Located on the Taragarh Road in Ajmer, the memorial has a statue of the king in black stone, mounted on a horse.

Junagarh Fort was built in the year 1593 by Raja Rai Singh. The fort structure consists of temples and palaces.The Karan Mahal, Anup Mahal, Chandra Mahal and Phool Mahal are some major attractions here. It is assumed that crocodiles were raised in the water canal surrounding the impressive fort. The architecture is a fine mixture of Mughal, Gujarati and Rajput style and this place is considered particularly one among the best places to visit in Bikaner

There is also a library with a wide collection of Sanskrit manuscripts written on silver, copper, and gold plaques and parchments. Objects from the culture of Harappan and the era of Kushan and Gupta.
